Are you a HR and WHS leader with many contractors that operate for clients across various locations?  If so, you’ll know that it is a challenge to manage the contractor information as well as track their work.

This is especially the case at remote, unmanned, heights and risk sites. In Australia, the legislation around Work Health and Safety is stringent and there are penalties for not adhering to operational laws. If all related information is handled manually via spreadsheets or by some other rudimentary measure, it will be laborious, time consuming and open to human error.  It also exposes the organisation to high risk of non-compliance.
Therefore, it is critical for organisations to have intuitive tools in place that will accurately manage contractor information and control the data, providing insight that will flow into policy and procedure setting. This is also presents an opportunity to put ownership back to contractors with regards the upkeep of their personal information, as well as their accreditation and licenses.

Kineo’s CMS helps to check contractor pre-qualification, induction, licencing, insurances and performance. SINE helps to manage their physical entry and exit at site locations. With this seamless partner integration, contractors can be managed end to end.

With SINE, it is easy to manage entry points that are unmanned. Every site has an iPad for the visitor to upload basic details and select the person they intend to meet with. The host receives a notification to attend to the visitor shortly thereafter. Any site related maps, emergency check points, fire evacuation documentation can also be shown to the visitor at the time of entry. This system works beautifully in remote locations and areas where there is no physical office.  Geographical boundaries can also be set up, where the visitor location can be tracked.

SINE offers an in-built integration with Kineo’s Contractor Management System. Both applications are easily integrated without the need for technical expertise. For example, when an employee checks into SINE at their site, their details are verified with the details in Kineo CMS. The status on Kineo CMS automatically reflects on SINE. A successfully verified employee can therefore work on the site. An unsuccessful verification, prompts the employee to complete their verification process in Kineo CMS.

When an employee checks into a facility with Sine, and is authenticated, a success response is received, and the contractor is granted access to the site. In the case where the employee has not been authenticated, the user is directed to an error it gives a pop up. The message on the pop up can be customised. Based on the status, the employee can and cannot be allowed to work on the Site. This helps organisations to ensure that qualified and verified employees are working at the Site.
