Kineo with Barclays wins double gold at LPI Learning Awards

News

Kineo’s work with Barclays was recognised at this year’s Learning Awards, scooping Gold in two very competitive categories - Learning Technology and Learning Impact.

This comes on the heels of taking two Silver awards for the same project, Barclays Conduct programme – Doing the Right Thing, at the Learning Technology Awards at the end of last year.

Working in partnership with the Barclays UK design team, Kineo helped to develop an innovative scenario-based learning approach using compelling and realistic stories with interactive scenes to present problems for learners to solve.

Barclays wanted to bring about a positive change - a new way of learning. To do this and to help attract and convert learners into advocates Kineo, in partnership with Zing Productions, created a compelling learning campaign. The campaign placed emphasis on developing personal responsibility, knowing the core rules, acting with judgement and promoting behaviours that are characteristic of a strong ethical culture.

The approach helped to deliver measurable behaviour change in an exceptionally challenging area of banking.

Learning Technologies Award

This award recognised the innovative use of learning technologies and how the project demonstrated high quality outcomes and innovation – in terms of both content, delivery and impact. The project made a demonstrable difference for Barclays and delivered a clear business impact over time.

Impact Award

Collaborating with Boost Evaluation, we supported Barclays to answer the question “how did this learning deliver positive impact for the enterprise?”. The judges looked for clear evidence of improvement in before and after metrics that linked directly to the learning. This was achieved through a clear process which encompassed baseline measurement, pre-surveys, monitoring of objective business metrics, time-delayed surveying and reporting at relevant stages.

Over 93 metrics, both objective and subjective, were evaluated and the solution developed and implemented was based on the insights.

Moreover, it was done at scale and through a digital solution, with clear hard data to support the impact it was making.

Stuart Chadwick, Kineo EMEA MD commented:

“This is a fantastic achievement, beating off our competitors to recognise the high quality of the work we do and its positive impact on performance for our customers.”

“We’re particularly pleased to receive a gold award for Learning Impact. LPI created this new award to recognise the industry’s focus on learning efficacy, the demonstrable impact of learning on individual and organisational performance.

These are core to our purpose at Kineo and The City & Guilds Group, and we’re proud to have been one of the first companies to win this award.”
